Man drowns in attempt to rescue woman

Banda, Jun 29 (UNI) A man drowned today along with a woman after he jumped into a well to help her.

According to police, on seeing the woman drowning, two men jumped into the well to rescue her.

However, the trio failed in their attempt to come out and later divers were called for help.

By the time the trio were fished out, the woman and a man had died.

The other man was being treated at a hospital, police added.
