Left stand will only help BJP: Vayalar Ravi
Kochi, Jun 29 (UNI) Union Minister for Parliamentary and Overseas Indian Affairs Vayalar Ravi today said the move by the Left parties with regard to the Indo-US nuclear deal issue will only help communal forces.
Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Ravi said the Centre was ready for any talks with the Left parties on the issue and the door for dialogue was not closed.
''The UPA Government was formed under a special situation with an agenda of keeping the BJP out of power,'' the minister reminded the Left parties.
On the textbook controversy in Kerala, Mr Ravi demanded that the CPM-led LDF Government withdraw the controversial VIIth class Social Studies text book.
On the reading of pastoral letters in churches on the issue, Mr Ravi said that it was an internal matter of the church.
