Koirala rewards boy for bravery
Kathmandu, Jun 29 (UNI) Former Prime Minister Girija Prasad Koirala today handed over cash prize of Rs 300,000 to Kamal Nepali, a 12-year-old boy of Pokhara, for rescuing a two-and-half-year old girl trapped in gorges of the Seti river.
"You are bold, brave and courageous. I wish all children of Nepal become like you," Mr Koirala told him at a programme at his official residence in Baluwatar.
Kamal Nepali briefed Mr Koirala about his rescue operation where he along with the help of canyon experts and rescue team rescued Aradhana Pradhan, a girl child, from a deep and narrow pit near Seti river in Pokhara last week.
The boy was flown in here as various organisations and individuals would felicitats him.
