DMK leader criticises Pondy ministers, officials
Puducherry, Jun 29 (UNI) Puducherry DMK convener and former Chief Minister R V Janakiraman today strongly criticised the style of functioning of ministers and officials of the territorial administration.
Speaking at a function to celebrate the birthday of DMK president and Tami Nadu Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at Reddiyarpalayam here, he said the people were disenchanted by the manner in which the rulers were functioning.
The DMK was closely watching the developments, he said.
Party youth wing leader and MLA R Siva, speaking on the occasion lambasted the ministers for camping in New Delhi by ignoring their duties and responsibilities towards the people of the Union Territory.
The ministers were not seen for the last ten days and the Legislative Assembly wore a deserted look. Several works relating to PWD and provision of oldage pension had been stopped due to financial crunch here, he pointed out.
Referring to Chief Secretary Rakesh Behari's reported remarks against the council of ministers, he urged the administration to take immediate steps to remove him from the post.
