Witness' security directed
Satna, MP, June 28 (UNI) A special court here has issued directions to provide security to the main witness in a case related to a scam for recruiting 'shikshakarmis'.
Admitting an application submitted by main witness Prabhunath Shukla yesterday, Justice Satishchandra Upadhyay gave directions to local police to provide him security.
A case has been filed against eleven persons, including BJP MP Ganesh Singh and former Minister of State for Irrigation Kishor Bagdi, by the Lokayukt, Rewa, in connection with alleged corruption in the recruitment of class I and II 'shikshakarmis' in 1998.
So far, six of 79 witnesses from prosecution have recorded their statements.
