Puri-Howrah Garib Rath among eight new trains to run in ECoR
Bhubaneswar, Jun 28 (UNI) One new bi-weekly Garib Rath Super Fast Express train will be introduced between Puri and Howrah as the Ministry of Railways had decided to introduce eight new trains under East Coast Railways (ECoR) jurisdiction.
The 2882 Puri-Howrah Garib Rath Super Fast Express train will leave Puri at 2200 hours every Monday and Wednesday and will arrive Howrah at 0745 hours the next days.
Similarly, in the return direction, 2881 Howrah-Puri Garib Rath Super Fast Express will leave Howrah at 2055 hours every Tuesday and Thursday and will arrive Puri at 0550 hours the following days.
Two daily new trains, three weekly new trains, two bi-weekly new trains and one tri-weekly trains will be introduced under ECoR jurisdiction in the new time table.
One new bi-weekly Super Fast Express train will be introduced between Bhubaneswar and Lokmanya Tilak Terminus (LTT). The 2880 Bhubaneswar-LTT Super Fast Express train will leave Bhubaneswar at 0720 hours every Monday and Thursday and will arrive LTT at 1335 hours on the next days.
Similarly, in the return direction, 2879 LTT-Bhubaneswar Super Fast Express will leave LTT at 0015 hours every Wednesday and Saturday (Midnight of Tuesday and Friday) and will arrive Bhubaneswar at 0710 hours on the next days.
Another new tri-weekly Garib Rath Super Fast Express train will be introduced between Visakhapatnam and Secunderabad. The train will leave Visakhapatnam at 2045 hours every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday and will arrive Secunderabad at 0810 hours the next days.
Similarly, in the return direction, 2740 Secunderabad-Visakhapatnam Garib Rath Super Fast Express will leave Secunderabad at 0815 hours on every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and will arrive Visakhapatnam at 0730 hours on the following days.
ECoR sources said a new weekly Express train will be introduced between Puri and Darbhanga which will leave Puri at 1410 hours on every Thursday and will arrive Darbhanga at 1105 hours the next days.
Similarly, in the return direction, the Express train will leave Darbhanga at 0715 hours every Saturday and will arrive Puri at 0330 hours the following days.
One new weekly Express train will be introduced between Bhagalpur and Yeshvantpur via Bhubaneswar which will leave Bhagalpur on every Wednesday. In the return direction the train will leave Yeshvantpur on every Saturday.
Thia apart one new weekly Express train will be introduced between New Dibrugarh Town and Yeshvantpur via Bhubaneswar.
The 8416 Puri-Keonjhargarh Express train, to be introduced soon, will leave Puri at 0525 hours everyday and will arrive Keonjhargarh at 1200 hours on the same day. On the return direction, the 8415 Keonjhargarh-Puri Express will leave Keonjhargarh at 1300 hours and arrive Puri at 2030 hours.
Another new daily Express train between Bhubaneswar and Paradeep will be introduced daily.
Meanwhile, the ECoR had decided to increase the frequency of Bhubaneswar-Baripada-Bhubaneswar tri-weekly superfast express to six days in a week from June 30 next.
The frequency of Bhubaneswar-New Delhi-Bhubaneswar bi-weekly Rajdhani express had been decided to run as tri-weekly in the new time table which would be notified later.
The 2421 Bhubaneswar-New Delhi Rajdhani Express will run every Sunday, Wednesday and Saturday, while in the return direction, the 2422 New Delhi-Bhubaneswar Rajdhani Express will run every Sunday, Monday and Friday, the sources said.
