PDP withdrawal a ploy to distance itself from land allotment: BJP
New Delhi, Jun 28 (UNI) The BJP today described the withdrawal of the Peopoles Democratic Party (PDP) from the Jammu and Kashmir coalition government as a joint political drama enacted by the Congress and the PDP to distance themselves from the decision to allot land to Sri Amarnath Shrine Board.
BJP vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, reacting to developments in Jammu and Kashmir where the PDP has withdrawn from the coalition said the joint ploy of the coalition partners was just intended to keep the land allotment to the Shrine Board under wraps fearing voter reprisals in the Kashmir valley and the common man was least bothered about this government's continuance.
The BJP, he said, was of the firm opinion that the decision taken by the state government shall not be reversed at all costs. The state government and the Centre must know that any such decision would only evoke strong reactions across the country and it was not in the interest of social harmony and national interest, he cautioned.
