Lalu attacking Advani out of frustration: BJP
New Delhi, Jun 28 (UNI) The BJP today said that a ''helpless'' Railway Minister Lalu Prasad was only ''venting his frustration'' through his aimless attacks on its leader L K Advani, alleging that he was fomenting communal passion in his anxiety to become the Prime Minister.
Reacting to Mr Prasad's address at his party's core committee meeting, BJP spokesman Rajiv Pratap Rudy said the Railway Minister was only pouring out his frustration after having lost political grounds in Bihar. ''Such meaningless actions cannot undo his political redundancy,'' he remarked.
He said Mr Prasad was also levelling reckless allegations to score a political point and outdo the Congress, the leader of the UPA coalition. ''He has blamed every one starting from businessmen and a section of the media for creating a hype regarding the double-digit inflation.'' The Railway Minister, who was ''clueless'' about the happenings, had also come out with an astonishing claim that the inflation was only an urban phenomenon. ''This only proved his disconnect with reality,'' Mr Rudy said in a statement, adding that the UPA partners were feeling the heat for being unable to contain the whopping inflation.
