Jaish militant arrested in Kashmir
Srinagar, Jun 28 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir police claimed to have arrested a supporter of Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) along-with Rs 45,000 in north Kashmir, official sources said.
They said police on a tip off laid a naka near a mosque at Tutigund,Handwara.
During naka, movement of a suspicious person was noticed near forest area who on being challenged by naka party tried to escape.
However, he was overpowered after a long chase, they said, adding Rs 45,000 were recovered from his possession.
They said on preliminary questioning, the JeM supporter identified as Mohammad Yousuf Khan confessed that he had received the money from an unidentified militant at village Chack Nutnusa with the direction to handover the same to active foreign militant Samiullah alias Sami Bhai, active in Sopore area.
