Hansen signs agreement with TN govt to setup manufacturing unit
Chennai, Jun 28 (UNI) Belgium-based Hansen Transmissions today signed an agreement with the Tamil Nadu Government to setup manufacturing facility at Suzlon SEZ near Coimbatore for producing gearboxes for wind turbines.
An official release here, said the company would invest about Rs 1,500 crore and would generate job opportunities for 800 people and indirect jobs to 200 others.
The MoU was signed by State Industries Secretary M F Farooqui and Hensen Transmissions Director Evanbrums in the presence of Chief Minister M Karunanidhi at the State Secretariat.
This facility was expected to attract more investment in non-conventional energy production in and around the area.
