Chamundi Hills will be declared as notified area for development
Mysore, June 28 (UNI) The pilgrimage centre Chamundi Hills will be declared as notified area shortly and overall development, Karnataka Minister Krishnaiah Chetty said today.
Talking to newsmen after holding a review meeting atop of the Chamundi Hills, he said that an Expert Committee with Revenue, Forest, Muzarai and Tourism, would be set up to prepare a blue print for the development.
He said that the government would soon launch a massive scheme for restoration and development of Muzarai temples in the State.
The Government would consider increasing the monthly premium for the priests of the temples coming under Muzarai.
Mr Chetty said that 15 lakh houses would be constructed in the next five year time for people living below poverty line and the poor.
