Another strong quake rocks Andamans

Port Blair, Jun 28 (UNI) Another strong treble measuring 6.3 in the Richter scale rocked Andamans and Nicobar islands this evening.

The quake was felt in almost all the inhabited islands of this remote archilpellago at 6.24 P M.

According to disaster control room of Port Blair the epicentre of the earthquake was located at 132 kms away from Port Blair in southwest direction.

Police Control room said there was no report of any death or loss of property.

This was the fifth quake since last evening which created panic among the people of the island, ravaged by tsunami in 2004.

There was, however, no tsunami warning or alert.
