Another Scarlett-like killing shocks Goa

Panaji, Jun 28: The body of Meghana Subhedar,a 28-year-old software engineer, who had gone missing from Mumbai, has been found on Goa's Candolim beach, 2 months after her disappearance. The nude and decomposed body of meghana was found on Friday, June 27.

Meghana had flown from Bangalore to Mumbai on April 10 to take another flight to her hometown Korba in Chhattisgarh, police said. Calangute police found Meghana's body at Candolim beach, 10 kms from Panaji. "Her father, Dr Mohan Subhedar, arrived in Goa and identified the body," police stated. Goa police are yet to make a formal statement on the matter although sources said the post-mortem conducted on her body suggested foul play. 'We will make a formal statement later in the day," Police Inspector of Calangute police station said.

Police said Meghana might have died four days ago. A week ago she had withdrawn money from State Bank of India's ATM at Margao in South Goa.
Meghana's parents said she was carrying two credit cards.
