13 hand grenades, heavy ammunition recovered in Poonch

Jammu, Jun 28 (UNI) Security forces today recovered a big haul of arms and ammunition including 13 hand grenades and UBGL bombs in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here said.

Based on a tip-off, the troops of 16 Rashtriya Rifles launched a search operation in Chandwali Lok area of tehsil Surankot in Poonch.

''The troops recovered a rich haul of ammunition including 13 hand grenades, 1 pika gun, 124 pika rounds, 4 UBGL bombs, 4 RPG bombs, 1 radio set, 10 UBGL grenades, 300 ak rounds and one binocular,'' sources told UNI.
