Vanniar body seeks action
Puducherry, June 27 (UNI) The ''Vanniyar Paadukappu Peravai,'' a non-political organisation here, today urged the Congress High Command to initiate action against Union Minister V Narayanasamy and the five Puducherry ministers who were allegedly striving to remove Chief Minsiter N Rangasamy from the post.
In a statement here, its President V Rajasekeran and secretary Gopalakrishnan said the AICC should keep in mind that vanniyars constituted 60 per cent of the vote bank in Puducherry and Tami Nadu, to which Mr Rangasamy also belongs.
They also recalled the fall of the Congress govenrments in Kerala and Karnataka following the change Chief Ministers there.
