UPA, Left deceiving people on Nuke deal: Venkaiah

Bangalore, Jun 27 (UNI) Senior BJP leader Venkaiah Naidu today accused both United Progressive Alliance (UPA) partners and Left Parties of diverting the attention of the people from burning problems, including inflation, by raising the Indo-US nuclear deal issue.

Talking to newspersons here, Mr Naidu alleged that the 'Economy was crumbling under UPA regime as the prices of essential commodities were skyrocketing.

Stating that both Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Union Finance Minister P Chidambaram had miserebly failed to contain the prices of essentials, Mr Naidu opined that 'sooner the better if the UPA government fell and early elections are held.' The Congress-led UPA Government was clue less to contain inflation, Mr Naidu said adding that common people were facing hardships due to rising prices of almost all commodities.

Farmers were in great distress as the agriculture sector was facing the worst-ever crisis post independence. The much boasted loan waiver scheme was 'too little and too disappointing.' Internal security has been completely ignored and the terrorists were feeling that they could strike anytime and anywhere at their will, he pointed out.

Ridiculing the decision of UPA and Left parties to meet again on the Nuke deal issue, Mr Naidu said ''they meet only to decide another date to assemble.'' MORE UNI MV MSP RL HS1631
