Prof G T Narayana Rao passes away
Mysore, Jun 27 (UNI) Noted scientific writer and music critic Prof G T Narayana Rao died at a private hospital following brain haemorrhage here today.
He was 82. He is survived by his wife and three sons.
As per his last wish, the body has been donated to J S S Hospital for research purpose.
Prof Rao was recipient of various awards, including Kannada Rajyotsava Award-2007, Karnataka Sahitya Parishat and Kannada Vijnana Parishat Award.
He authored 60 books in Kannada and English, covering science, travelogues, translations of technical publications, astronomy, biographies of famous scientists. Many of his books were text books at University level.
