One dead, four injured in slab collapse
Mumbai, Jun 27: A 24-year-old man was killed and four others injured when slab of a hostel collapsed suddenly late last night at Dongri in South Central Mumbai, police sources said today.
The first floor slab of Dave Hostel collapsed around 2330 hrs, killing one person and injuring four others, police sources added.
The dead was identified as Sadiq Yusuf, hailing from Kerala. He was an employee in the hostel.
The injured -- identified as Asif Kazi (27), Prashant Kumar Madhav Prasad Singh (23), Mohammed Asif Sheikh (24) and Sheetal Sakharam Hegishte (27) -- have been admitted to J J Hospital, the sources added.
