NTPC signs Power Purchase Agreement with Gridco
New Delhi, Jun 27 (UNI) NTPC Ltd today said it has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Gridco for supply of power from its Barh Project in Bihar.
The PPA is for supply of power from the 1,320 MW (2X660 MW ) Barh Project (Stage-II), being set up by NTPC in Bihar, a company statement said.
The power from the project shall be supplied to the states of eastern, northern and western region. This is in addition to 1,980 MW Barh stage-I being set up by NTPC.
On completion, the project will be the largest power station of NTPC in the eastern region.
The agreement was signed by Gridco Director (Commercial) AC Mallick and NTPC General Manager (Commercial) S N Goel.
