Moderate quake rocks Andamans; slighter quake hits Rajasthan
New Delhi, Jun 27 (UNI) A slight intensity earthquake today rocked Raj Samand in Rajasthan in the afternoon while a moderate intensity quake rocked the Andaman islands this evening.
The India Meteorological Department said the quake measuring 3.6 on the richter scale rocked the Raj Samand area of Rajasthan around 1324 hrs.
The epicentre was recorded at 25.2 degrees North and 73.8 degrees East.
A biger, moderate intensity quake rocked the Andaman Islands around 1710 hrs.
The epicenmtre of the second, and bigger quake was recorded at 1.0 degrees North and 91.6 degrees East.
