Mannar Jawahar, new Anna Varsity VC

Chennai, Jun 27: Dr P Mannar Jawahar, Director, Centre for University-Industry Collaboration, Anna University, was today appointed as the Vice-Chancellor of the varsity.

He succeeds Dr D Viswanathan, who retired yesterday.

The appointment was made by Tamil Nadu Governor and University Chancellor Surjit Singh Barnala.

Dr Jawahar would hold the post for three years from the date of his assumption of office, a Raj Bhavan communique said.
