IRCTC launches daily package to Vaishno Devi shrine

New Delhi, Jun 27 (UNI) Keeping in view the huge public demand, the Railways has decided to increase the frequency of 2925 Jammu Rajdhani Express from weekly to daily basis from July 1.

Grabbing the opportunity, Indian Railway Catering&Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), the tourism and catering arm of Indian Railways, has also launched a daily 'Mata Vaishno Devi tour package' from Old Delhi station. Earlier, it was being run on a weekly basis.

An IRCTC official said now 36 berths would be available daily to cater to the growing demand of the pilgrims. "It will be a three-night, four-day package and the passengers will be taken to Vaisho Devi shrine from Delhi and brought back by Rajdhani Express," he added.

Arrangements include confirmed reservation in AC 3-tier, dinner on board, welcome drink/tea at Jammu Tawi, transfer to Katra by road, stay in hotel in air-conditioned rooms, breakfast at hotel, drop off at Banganga, packed lunch/dinner for Yatra and 'Darshan Slip'.

The fare per passenger would be Rs 3,950 per head (adult) and Rs 2,200 (child).
