Govt. hopes to arrive at consensus with Left on Nuclear deal
New Delhi, Jun 27 (UNI) The government today hoped it would be able to arrive at a consensus (with Left Parties) on the Indo-US Nuclear deal but refrained from giving a specific timeframe.
''We hope it will be possible to arrive at a consensus,'' External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee said at a joint press conference alongwith his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mahmood Qureshi after their talks here.
He acknowledged that there were time constraints in implementing the deal and views of different sections had to be considered.
He said the government was discussing the matter with all the parties concerned and hoped to arrive at a consensus.
