CM Khanduri condoles Sam Manekshaw's demise

Dehra Dun, Jun 27 (UNI) Uttarakhand Chief Minister B C Khanduri today condoled the demise of first Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw, calling him a ''hero'' who led the nation to victory in the 1971 Indo-Pak war.

In his condolence message, Mr Khanduri said the Field Marshal's ''motivation and dedication to the Armed Forces had brought laurels to India.'' ''Field Marshal Manekshaw shared a special relation with Dehra Dun as he was a passout of the Indian Military Academy hero,'' Mr Khanduri said and conveyed his condolences to the bereaved family.
