Advani says UPA in ICU, can collapse any time

Kanpur, Jun 27 (UNI) Amid heavy rainfall, senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and party's Prime Ministerial candidate Lal Krishna Advani today said the Congress led-United Progressive Alliance (UPA) at the Centre was presently in ''Intensive Care Unit (ICU)'' that can collapse any day.

''It would be no surprise, when people will wake-up one day and hear that the UPA has succumbed,'' Mr Advani said, thanking a huge crowd that assembled in his ''Vijay Sankalp Yatra'' at Phoolbagh ground here this evening.

''Prime Minister Manmohan Singh is a doctor by name, while his government is a patient battling for life in hospital,'' he alleged in his half-an-hour speech.

''Even the PM does not know, when will his government get discharge'', Mr Advani said firing salvo at the UPA.

''The UPA was making all efforts to get it out from the ICU and therefore contacting a party of Uttar Pradesh for help,'' the BJP laeder charged.

''Dr Singh is a ''good'' and ''honest'' person, but I pitty him as he is being demolarised these days...now-a-days ''10 Janpath (Sonia's official residence) is more important than 7, Race Course (Dr Singh's official residence),'' Mr Advani added.
