US envoy discuss Indo-Pak peace process with Qureshi
Islamabad, Jun 26 (UNI) US envoy to Pakistan Anne W Patterson discussed regional issues, with special reference to situation in Afghanistan and India-Pakistan peace process, with Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi.
''The discussions covered matters relating to bilateral economic engagement, defence and security cooperation, counter-terrorism, progress on Reconstruction Opportunity Zones (ROZs) in tribal areas and energy cooperation,'' foreign office spokesman Muhammad Sadiq said in a statement here today.
Regional issues, including Afghanistan and Pakistan-India dialogue also came under discussion with Pakistan reiterating its desire for resolution of all disputes with India through dialogue.
''The commitment of both sides to foster close cooperation in all fields of mutual interest was reaffirmed,'' the spokesman added.
