New Delhi, Jun 26 (UNI) Congress leader and Union Textiles Minister Shankersinh Vaghela today said the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Government will complete its full term, surmounting problems here and there.
On the sidelines of a press meet, Mr Vaghela asserted that ''I am confident that the present government will complete its full term.'' The current monsoon is expected to bring in good output of crops which will help rein in rising prices and inflation to a great extent. The inflation exceeding double-digit is the Achles' heel of the UPA government.
The minister is hopeful that the inflation will come down to 7-8 per cent by October-November from the present rate of 11.5 per cent.
Mr Vaghela predicted that the performance of BJP will ''not be good'' even if their main rival party makes some gain in the coming Lok Sabha polls.
The government has taken a number of measures and increased the minimum support prices for the wheat and the paddy to help the farmers and to enhance procurement.
