Sukhbir warns partymen from taking Cong support
Candigarh, Jun 26 (UNI) Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) president Sukhbir Singh Badal today declared that no party leader will be allowed to take the help of the Congress to become a Chairman or Vice Chairman of any Panchayat Samiti or Zila Parishad.
''If any body accepts the Congress support, he will have to face strict disciplinary action'', he warned in a statement issued here.
He further said a two members committee comprising of senior party leaders Mr Gurdev Singh Badal and Mr Sewa Singh Sekhwan had been constituted to check such anti party acitivities. The committee has been advised to report any such activity to the party head office within a week and further action will be taken on the basis of this report.
Mr Badal also clarified that even in the election of Sarpanches and Presidents of various Municipal Committees, no one will be allowed to take the support of the Congress.
