Stone-pelting in Jammu leaves four injured
Jammu, Jun 26 (UNI) At least four people were injured when two groups, swayed by the recent political issue of land transfer to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB), started pelting stones on each other at Malik Market here today, sources said.
While the entire city was observing complete bandh against the emerging demand in Kashmir for revocation of forest land to the SASB, two groups of particular communities clashed at Malik Market.
''As many as four people were injured in stone pelting at Malik Market in Narwal area this morning,'' a police official confirmed.
However, the mob was dispersed by the police immediately, the official added.
