SHO charged with rape suspended

Chandigarh, Jun 26 (UNI) The Haryana government has suspended an SHO of Karnal district who allegedly raped a married woman in a police station today.

Nissing SHO Jai Singh has been suspended with immediate effect and an enquiry had been ordered against him, an official spokesman said today.

The IG (headquarters) and the IG Ambala range had been sent to Nissing to expedite the investigation into the case, he added.
