Rich haul of explosives in Rajouri district
Jammu, Jun 26 (UNI) Security forces recovered a huge cache of explosives, including 45 kg RDX, 265 detonators and 46 hand grenades, hidden by militants in a large water container at Dharal in Rajouri district near the Line of Control (LoC), an official spokesman today said.
Troops of 48 Rashtriya Rifles (RR) and police recovered the explosives in Madoon forests of Darhal last evening, Defence Ministry spokesman Lt Col S D Goswami told UNI.
The recoveries also included an AK-56 rifle, one magazine, 250 rounds, three RPG rounds, three electronic detonators, eight UBGL grenades, Rs 8,350 in Pakistan currency, 600 meters wire and one SIM card of Pakistan's Jajj mobile company, reports said.
The security forces were conducting a search operation in the area to trace the militants.
