Protest rally to demand withdrawal of controversial textbook

Kochi, Jun 26 (UNI) To demand withdrawal of the controversial social studies textbook, the Archdiocese of Verapoly would be organising a protest rally on June 30 here.

Speaking to reporters here today, Chairman of the 'Viswasa Samrakshana Samithi' of the Archdiocese Antony A Ambat said the Kerala Government should take immediate steps to withdraw the textbook, which was ''propogating atheism.'' He said the protest rally would be flagged off by Metropolitan Archbishop, Dr Daniel Acharuparambil.
