Monsoon active in Northeast

Pune, June 26 (UNI) The Southwest Monsoon has been active in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Orissa but subdued in east Uttar Pradesh, east Rajasthan, Rayalseema, Tamil Nadu and south interior Karnataka.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at many places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa, Konkan, Goa, coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in West Bengal, Sikkim, Chattisgarh, south Madhya Maharashtra, north coastal Andhra Pradesh and Lakshadweep; at a few places in Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, north Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, south coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, interior Karnataka, and at isolated places in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.

Heavy rains have occured at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Orissa and coastal Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occured at most places in Konkan, Goa, Kerala, and at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, north interior Karnataka.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at a few places in Arunachal Pradesh, Gangetic West Bengal, west Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, west Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, south interior Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim, Jharkhand east Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, west Rajasthan, east Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Saurashtra and Kutch regions, Rayalseema and Tamil Nadu.
