Kerala Govt to impose 30 minutes power cut
Thiruvananthapuram, Jun 26 (UNI) Kerala Electricity Minister A K Balan today informed the State Assembly that the government had decided to impose half-an-hour power cut during peak hours.
However, the date of commencement of load shedding would be decided by the Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB), he said adding the power cut would be between 1800 and 2200 hrs.
Stating that the Board was forced to impose power cut due to poor storage in the reservoirs, he said the state was facing a deficit of 500 MW power during peak hours.
