IA flight makes emergency landing
Chennai, June 26 (UNI) An Indian Airlines flight en route Singapore was forced to make an emergency landing at the Anna International Airport here today after the pilot noticed a technical snag.
Airport sources said Chennai-Singapore Flight IC 557, carrying 124 passengers and five crew members, took off from the airport at 1325 hrs.
Midair, one of the pilots noticed a technical snag in one of the plane's engines and alerted the ATC.
The flight landed safely at 1450 hrs. After the snag was set right, the plane took off at 1605 hrs with 121 passengers and the crew.
Three passengers refused to board the plane saying they would catch another flight.
