Cancel land order by June 30 or we will withdraw: PDP
Srinagar, Jun 26 (UNI) The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today threatened to withdraw its support to the Congress-led coalition government if the forest land transfer to Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) order was not cancelled.
Speaking to mediapersons here senior PDP leader and Deputy Chief Minister Muzaffar Hussain Baig said the land transfer order should be immediately withdrawn.
''The government has two days to cancel the order,'' he said, adding, ''every passing day is deteriorating the situation.'' Mr Baig said if the order was not cancelled by June 30, the PDP would withdraw its support to the government.
He said a PDP delegation had met Governor N N Vohra and discussed the issue with him.
''We request the Governor and the Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad to take immediate decision before it is too late,'' Mr Baig said.
