Cabinet approves Rs 429.85 crore scheme on fertilizers use

New Delhi, June 26 (UNI) The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) today approved a Rs 429.85 crore Centrally sponsored scheme for balanced and integrated use of fertilizers in the country.

Under the ''National Project on Management of Soil Health and Fertility'' to be located at Faridabad, a Project Sanctioning-cum-Monitoring Committee (PSMC) shall be constituted.

It will be empowered to take up area projects for strengthening of Soil Testing Laboratories, quality control labs and mobile soil testing labs for promoting integrated nutrient use.
