Brit factory staff clocks off to go to the loo!
London, June 26 : Employees at a meat factory have to clock off each time they go to loo, or else they can lose half an hour's pay.
If the staff at a Tesco supplier go three times a day they lose half an hour's pay with at least 3.20 pounds or 16 pounds a week.
"In food hygiene we have to wear protective clothing, so we take our boots, overalls and hair net off each time. The toilets are upstairs as well, so the whole process takes 10 minutes," the Mirror quoted a worker as saying.
Brown Brothers employs about 300 people in North Berwick, East Lothian, and Kirkconnel, Dumfries.
Unite's Tony Woodley said: "We believe these are Dickensian practices. It's outrageous in 2008."
