Banking, financial services declared public utility services

Chandigarh, Jun 26 (UNI) The Chandigarh Administration has declared banking and financial services to be the public utility services in UT.

With this declaration, people having disputes relating to banking and financial matters like the loan cases and recovery litigations, would be benefited, as the Permanent Lok Adalat for public utility services would now be in a position to settle the dispute with conciliation. This will save people from unnecessary litigation, harassment and the cases will be decided promptly without any delay.

The aforesaid decision will also reduce burden on the regular Courts which are over-burdened with such types of cases.
