AIDS awareness workshop for ITBP jawans in Haryana
Chandigarh, Jun 26 (UNI) The Haryana AIDS Control Society, Panchkula organised a workshop for Indo-Tibet Border Police (ITBP) Jawans at Bhanu, near Panchkula, today to mark the International Day against Drug abuse.
The workshop was organised to sensitise the ITBP jawans about HIV/AIDS .
Stating this here today, a spokesman for the society said it was very important for the jawans to be sensitised about HIV/AIDS as they lived away from their families.
"As yet, there is no cure for AIDS and there is no vaccine to prevent a person from acquiring HIV. Its cure lies in prevention only," he said.
