110-feet bridge completed in 98 hours
Shimla, Jun 26 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Public Works Department constructed a 110-feet bridge at Bhuntar in Kullu district in a record time of 98 hours.
The work on Bailey bridge, which caved in due to crossing of a vehicle carrying heavy machineries on the intervening night of June 13 and 14, started on June 22 and was today completed within four days.
The Public Works Department team after dismantling the damaged bridge, erected the new bridge by working day and night.
The new bridge was today opened for vehicular traffic to Kullu by pass and Manikaran Valley.
