UP govt gives subsidy to farmers on high yielding seeds
Lucknow, June 25 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government today announced subsidy on hybrid seeds distributed among the farmers.
The state cabinet approved a subsidy rate of Rs 200 per quintal on all seeds sold from the government and semi-government outlets, while Rs 120 per quintal from other outlets.
State Cabinet secretary Shashank Shekhar Singh said here the government will spend Rs 65 crore for funding the subsidy, which will enable the farmers to get high yielding seeds at an affordable price.
Meanwhile, in another decision, the state government has exempted entertainment tax on feature film Sant Ravidas in the state.
