TNPCC chief V Krishnaswamy calls on Sonia

New Delhi, Jun 25 (UNI) TNPCC chief Vandavasi Krishnaswamy today called on Congress President Sonia Gandhi amid speculation over a change of guard in the state party unit.

Mr Ahmed Patel, political secretary to Ms Gandhi, and party leaders Vayalar Ravi and Arun Kumar were also present at the meeting which lasted about 20 minutes.

According to party sources, among the names doing the rounds for heading the party unit are of Mr G K Vasan, Mr Sudarshan Nachiappan and Mr Gnana Desikan.
