Shahbaz Sharif says PML-N ready to pay any price for judiciary's independence
Islamabad, June 25 : Punjab province Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has said that his party the PML-N was ready to pay any price for the independence of judiciary and the supremacy of the law.
He complained that his partymen were being looked down upon as 'offenders' for talking about independence of judiciary.
"We are being looked upon as offenders because we are talking about the independence of judiciary, supremacy of law and raising voice for the people," the Daily Times quoted him as saying.
"We have a clear stance that judges should be appointed in upper courts according to the Charter of Democracy signed by Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif in London," he said and added that the PML-N will not accept the PCO judges.
