Railway line between Narayangarh-Bakhrabad repaired

Kolkata, Jun 25 (UNI) One out of the two disturbed railway lines between Narayangarh and Bakhrabad has been repaired and trial run was started since last evening, South Eastern Railway (SER) sources said here today.

They informed that the first train with restoration materials rolled at around 1900 hours with restricted speed.

The sources said soil of embankment near the bridge was still soft and needed strengthening, as such railway was running only few goods trains to test the safety of the line. This has been done keeping in view the safety of the passengers.

Efforts were being made for further strengthening the line so that passenger trains could run safely at the earliest, sources said.

Trains to run via diverted route from today to June 30 includes 2703 Howrah-Secunderabad Falaknuma Express, running via Kharagpur-Jharsuguda-Bilaspur-Gondia-Nagpur-Balharshah, 2863 Howrah-Yesvantput Express running via Kharagpur-Jharsuguda-Bilaspur-Nagpur-Balharshah, 2839 Howrah-Chennai Mail, running via Kharagpur-Jharsuguda-Sambalpur-Titlagarh-Vizianagaram-Visakhapatnam, 2837 Howrah-Puri Express running via Kharagpur-Tatanagar-Jharsuguda-Sambalpur-Angul-Cuttack.

Trains on short termination upto June 30 include 2871/2872 Howrah-Sambalpur Ispat Express, running between Howrah&Chakradharpur from June 25 to June 30, 8005/8006 Howrah-Korapur Express, running between Howrah-Rourkela.

Trains cancelled from June 25 to June 30 include 2821/2822 Howrah-Bhubaneswar Dhauli Express, 2074/2073 Howrah-Bhubaneswar Janshatabdi Express, 8645 Howrah-Hyderabad East Coast Express, 2841 Howrah-Chennai Coromandal Express, 8409/8410 Howrah-Puri Sri Jagannath Express, 467 Howrah-Bhadrak Passenger, 201 Howrah Puri Passenger.

Train cancelled on June 25, 0895 Howrah-Puri Summer Special.

Train cancelled on June 26, 2847 Howrah-Vasco-da-gama Amaravathi Express, 2663 Howrah-Trichi Express.

Train cancelled on June 27, 2895 Howrah-Puri Express, 0803 Howrah-Mysore Summer Special.

Train cancelled on June 28, 2847 Hoswrah-Vasco-da-gama Amaravathi Express.

Train cancelled on June 29, 2663 Howrah-Trichi Express.

Train cancelled on June 30, 2847 Howrah-Vasco-da-gama Amaravathi Express, 2887 Howrah-Puri Express, 2665 Howrah-Kanyakumari Express.
