NRI girl from Kerala wins NASA's essay competition

Kozhikode, Jun 25 (UNI) A Non-Resident Indian (NRI) high school student of Kerala origin studying in Pennsylvania, US, has won third prize in an essay competition conducted by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA).

Megha Subramanian of Hershey Middle School was chosen from more than 1,000 participants from 35 countries, according to reports received here.

The competition was conducted in connection with the NASA's 50th anniversary.

Megha, the daughter of a Kozhikode native T Subramanian, Head of Neurology Department, Pen State University, Hersehy, and Dr Kala, would get USD 1,000 as scholarship.
