Naidu not to break Meekosam yatra: TDP
Hyderabad, Jun 25 (UNI) The main Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) today made it clear that the 150-day 'Meekosam' yatra undertaken by party President N Chandrababu Naidu will not be suspended.
Party Spokesman M V Mysoora Reddy informed this to mediapersons following reports that Mr Naidu might break the yatra to deal with the political situation arising out of former Home Minister T Devendar Goud resigning from the party along with former Minister E Peddi Reddy to strive for a separate Telangana State.
The party chief was presently undertaking the yatra in Srikakulam district in north coastal Andhra Pradesh.
To a question, Mr Reddy denied that Mr Goud's resignation was a fallout of the war of words with another former Minister T Srinivas Yadav over the statehood issue.
He claimed that the party did not face any threat of party leaders and workers quitting the party and joining hands with Mr Goud.
