MP's wife alleges harasment by administration

Allahabad, Jun 25 (UNI) Samwajwadi Party MP Atiq Ahmed's wife today alleged that some senior police officers were deliberately harassing her family.

Addressing newspersons at a press conference here, Shaishta Praveen said ''according to law, a person's property, who is incarcerated in jail cannot be attached, but the administration is busy harassing me and my husband.'' They are transferring my husband from one jail to another due to which, I am not able to meet him from the last twenty days,'' the MP's wife added.

She also informed that she has written a letter to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati in this regard.
