Moderate earthquake jolts Northern Sumatra

New Delhi, Jun 25: On Wednesday, June 25, a 5.3 magnitude earthquake hit Northern Sumatra, Indonesia, according to India Meteorological Department.

The epicenter of the tremors, which were felt at 0723 hrs, was 1.6 degrees north Latitude and 97.8 degrees east Longitude. However, there was no immediate word on casualties or damage to property.
