Maoists arrested in Bihar
Sheohar, Jun 25 (UNI) A self-proclaimed Maoist 'area commander' Devendra Sahni alias Ratnakar was arrested from a Naxalite hideout at Lakshminiya village under Shyampur Bhatha Police Station here late last night.
Police Superintendent Ajay Kumar Mishra said here today that the extremist was arrested during a raid conducted on a tip-off.
He said the accomplices of the arrested extremist managed to escape taking advantage of the darkness.
The arrested extremist was wanted by the police in connection with several criminals cases and after priliminary interrogation was being sent to Sitamarhi under judicial custody.
